Yes. They are different fungi with different roles, and they are commonly taken together. Take them at the same time with water.
Are they not the same kind of thing?
No. Lingzhi (reishi) is a woody mushroom taken as a broad daily tonic. Cordyceps is a different fungus, traditionally taken for the lungs and kidneys.
How do I take the two?
Lingzhi: 1 to 2 capsules once a day. Cordyceps: 1 capsule a day. Follow the directions printed on each pack.
How long does one set last?
About two months. The Cordyceps box holds 60 capsules, which is 60 days at one a day. The Lingzhi box holds 72 capsules, which is 72 days at one a day or 36 days at two.
What does “1 capsule = 20 Cordyceps” mean?
It compares adenosine content: one Cordyceps capsule contains as much adenosine as 20 pieces of Cordyceps. It does not mean 20 times the effect.
Can I take them with medication?
If you take prescription medicine, including blood thinners, diabetes medicine or medicine that affects the immune system, or have a long-term condition, speak to your doctor before starting.
Can I take them while pregnant or breastfeeding?
Speak to your doctor first.
Are there side effects?
Both are herbal supplements, and people can react differently to herbs. If you notice any discomfort or reaction, stop taking them and seek medical advice.
