Wild Cordyceps grows only on the high plateaus of Tibet and the Himalayas, and over-harvesting has made it rare and very costly. Vita Yin Yang uses Cordyceps mycelia, the living body of the fungus, grown under controlled conditions so that every capsule is the same.

Cordyceps is a fungus long prized in Chinese herbal tradition, where it is known as 冬虫夏草 (dong chong xia cao). Wild Cordyceps grows on the high plateaus of Tibet and the Himalayas.
Why cultivated and not wild?
Wild Cordyceps is rare, very costly and varies from piece to piece. Cultivated mycelia are grown under controlled conditions, which gives a consistent amount in every capsule.
What does mycelia mean?
Mycelia are the network-like growing body of a fungus. Vita Yin Yang uses cultivated Cordyceps mycelia as its Cordyceps material.
How do I take it?
For daily health, take 1 capsule a day with water. The pack allows up to 3 capsules a day.
What does “1 capsule = 20 Cordyceps” mean?
It compares adenosine content: one capsule contains as much adenosine as 20 pieces of Cordyceps. It does not mean 20 times the effect.
Which pack should I choose?
One box holds 60 capsules, which is 60 days at one capsule a day. Two and three boxes lower the price per box.
Can children take it?
The pack gives directions for children under 12: half to 1 capsule a day, and half a capsule if they weigh under 20 kg. Ask a healthcare professional if you are unsure.
Is it heaty?
Cordyceps is traditionally described as nourishing without being heaty, and the pack says it can be taken in all four seasons.
Is it suitable for vegetarians?
Yes. The capsule is plant-based, and the pack states that it is suitable for vegetarians.
Can I take it with Lingzhi?
Yes. They are different fungi with different roles. The Daily Resilience Duo pairs one box of each.
Can I take it with medication?
If you take prescription medicine, including blood thinners, diabetes medicine or medicine that affects the immune system, or have a long-term condition, speak to your doctor before starting.
Can I take it while pregnant or breastfeeding?

Are there side effects?
Cordyceps is a herbal supplement, and people can react differently to herbs. If you notice any discomfort or reaction, stop taking it and seek medical advice.
Does it protect against haze?
No. It is a health supplement for general wellness and is not intended to protect against haze or PM2.5.
